By 1964 the British Invasion was well underway in America. Armed with catchy tunes and VOX amplifiers, the bands of this era changed popular music forever. No amplifier was more important to this new “sound of the longhairs” than the VOX AC30 Top Boost. Years later, these now rare amplifiers would serve as the backbone for countless seminal rock records and are still celebrated by tone connoisseurs as one of the finest guitar amplifiers ever produced. The 60th Anniversary AC30 is VOX’s tribute this truly legendary amplifier.

Initially developed in 1959 for players who needed more power, the AC30 quickly became the go-to amplifier for professional players in the UK. When met with the demand for more control of the tone of these amps, VOX developed the optional Top Boost circuit, a clever modification that resulted in the signature sound that has become synonymous with the AC30. The 60th Anniversary AC30 is built in the tradition of 1964 AC30/6 and features a factory integrated Top Boost circuit on the Brilliant Channel. This six-input amplifier also includes the classic Normal & Vib-Trem channels to provide a full palette of vintage VOX tone.

The 60th Anniversary AC15 & AC30 represent the absolute pinnacle of VOX Amplification. Because of the intensely sophisticated engineering and design skills demanded by these amplifiers, these models will be available in extremely limited quantities in 2017 only.

For 60 years now, the most recognizable names in Rock n’ Roll have been drawn to VOX amplifiers for their incomparable tone. The distinguished, pure tube sound and signature chime of these amplifiers have served as the foundation for some of the most memorable moments in musical history. With the introduction of these 60th Anniversary models, VOX Amplification has assured that this tradition of tone will be continued for decades to come.
