Shipping & Returns
*Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we are not currently accepting returns on any products. Defective or DOA items will be replaced as normal. This is not a permanent change and we will go back to our normal return policy once this epidemic passes. Basically we are just requesting that you only purchase things you know you will want to keep!
You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a refund. Restocking fees may apply if we are not able to sell the item again as new. Unique/Serialized guitars are subject to a 10% restocking fee. All returns will be subject to inspection. This will be at our discretion. The buyer will be responsible for shipping costs for both directions. Any special or custom order products are not eligible for returns but, at the manufacturer's discretion, they may be exchanged or modified by the manufacturer.
The return policy on used and clearance items is very simple: All used and clearance items are sold as-is and all sales are final. If you have any questions you must contact us before you check out. There will not be any exceptions.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
*Paypal Restocking fees: As of 05/07/2019, Paypal no longer reimburses the merchant (us) the processing fee (4%) on refunds. Due to this change, we will make this a pass-through fee to any and all non-defective returns. The minimum restocking fee on a non-defective item is 4%.
All orders must be shipped to the address of the buyer. If you wish to purchase a gift and have it shipped elsewhere please call or email us first! This is for the protection of both parties.
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, as some products cannot be shipped to international destinations. All international shoppers must contact us before purchase.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound when necessary. These rates are estimates and may be altered to represent actual cost.
Anyone who purchases from The Guitar Store either in person, via our shopping cart, or other sources, will be subject to these policies.
